A "Whatchu talkin' bout Willis?" Moment: Obama Blames Republicans for Economic Crisis

President Obama used his speech rolling out a stimulus-style jobs program Tuesday to point the finger at Republicans for allegedly facilitating the economic crisis and then foisting it off on his administration to solve. That's funny, I thought Clinton, Dodd and Frank were all Democrats? Whatever? .... Let us not forget the two extremely important entities that got this bull rolling: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It was the Democrats that forced banks to loan money to those people whose only credit worthiness was a good hook shot or had a child nicknamed balloon boy. ... Look ... Government has about 12 years to teach kids how to make change, learn how to read People Magazine and cook French fries. ... So don't expect the economy to turn around real soon with them calling all the shots.
 
For those of you that limit your news gathering information to NBC and The View, let's take a brief look at how Freddie and Fannie got it all started courtesy of Michelle Malkin:
 
* Political pressure led to the erosion of responsible lending practices: In the early 1990s, Fannie and Freddie began to come under considerable political pressure to lower their underwriting standards, particularly on the size of down payments and the credit quality of borrowers. (p.6)
* Lower down payments led to housing prices that outpaced income growth: Once government-sponsored efforts to decrease down payments spread to the wider market, home prices became increasingly untethered from any kind of demand limited by borrowers' ability to pay. Instead, borrowers could just make smaller down payments and take on higher debt, allowing home prices to continue their unrestrained rise. Some statistics help illustrate how this occurred. Between 2001 and 2006, median home prices increased by an inflation-adjusted 50 percent, yet at the same time Americans' income failed to keep up. (p. 11)
* Members of an "affordable housing" coalition shared profits with political allies to help legitimize their business practices: Fannie Mae created and used The Fannie Mae Foundation to spread millions of dollars around to politically-connected organizations like the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. It also hired well-known academics to give an aura of academic rigor to policy positions favorable to Fannie Mae. One paper coauthored by now-Director of the Office of Management and Budget Peter Orszag, concluded that the chance was minimal that the GSEs were not holding sufficient capital to cover their losses in the event of a severe economic shock. The authors suggested that "the risk to the government from a potential default on GSE debt is effectively zero," and that "the expected cost to the government of providing an explicit government guarantee on $1 trillion in GSE debt is just $2 million." (p.7)
* The Government Sponsored Enterprises led the way into the housing crisis: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were leaders in risky mortgage lending. According to an analysis presented to the Committee, between 2002 and 2007, Fannie and Freddie purchased $1.9 trillion of mortgages made to borrowers with credit scores below 660, one of the definitions of "subprime" used by federal banking regulators. This represents over 54% of all such mortgages purchased during those years. (p.24)
 
Come to think of it. There was no mention in Obama's speech about a 6 month tax free holiday, keeping the Bush tax cuts from expiring, rescinding the minimum wage hike, stop stimulus, etc. Must have a been a mere oversight?

An Inconvenient 'Hack' for Prius driving, Al Gore Fantasizers

Have you heard about the Climategate Crisis? If you limit your information gathering to MSNBC, you may have missed it. If not, let me sum it up for you: Some hackers got into the East Anglia's Climate Research Unit's emails and discovered that the scientists had been falsifying or covering up data in order to support the global warming scam.
So the hackers did what any hackers concerned with wasting money on "Going Green" would do and leaked the information to confirm that Man Made Global Warming has always been a well crafted fraud. Kind of like "Dreams From my Father". Well, at least the parts Bill Ayers didn't write. So these Scientists at "the premiere global warming research institute" threw their raw data away because the data didn't support their "learned" conclusion. If you're not a scientist, throwing away data is a big no-no. This should raise some leftist's eyebrows that "climate change" was not caused by man. Even the kids that spend their day working on their text messaging skills can figure that one out.
So the Climate Pimps Obama, Gore and some California elected officials will continue to hang on to this hoax. These power hungry politicians knows where a majority of the U.S. gets their news and they want to continue to protect their source of control and revenue from disappearing. They will allow the U.S. to get together in Copenhagen to try and find a replacement for the hideous Kyoto Treaty. They'll continue to have faith in this hoax rather than trying to find some other cause to disguise their wealth seizure and re-distribution schemes.
Just this week Senator Barbara Boxer, who formerly represented the lollipop guild, wants to treat the hackers as criminals. For what? Disturbing the illusion's of the left? Succinctly put, Senator Boxer wants to lock the hackers up and let Waxman and Markey remain at large to continue their sinister efforts in creating the ponzi scheme inspired Cap/Trade.
So now Obama wants to pay our "Fair Share" of $10 Billion to 3rd World Plagued Corrupt countries. Why? So those countries dictators can remain in rule of their unproductive countries without their population actually having to earn. This money transfer is just one big wealth redistribution program and who better to be a conduit of the program than the Anti-American UN.
This "Fair Share" money can be spent better elsewhere. How about the war on terror? or keeping illegal aliens out? or reforming the Department of Education or better, paying for the transfer of the UN out of it's East River digs and to a place they'll be appreciated. Haiti.
To non-subscribers of the NY Times, global warming and cooling has always been a cyclical occurrence. No "settled" science could change that. Who knows? Maybe one day we will all see the Al Gore driving off into the sunset via a Hybrid.

KSM The New OJ?

In Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the U.S. is holding several Islamic terrorists prisoner. These lower than dirt scumbags are the worst of the worst and are designed or engineered to destroy America's liberty and freedom at any cost. They are captured Al-Qaeda, Taliban fighters and a few other high value targets. It would not be surprising if there are a few Democrat thrown in as well.
These radical thugs are enemy combatants, not soldiers in any sort of organized Army. These people were sponsored and trained by oil producing countries who took up arms against the United States and tried to kill Americans. So....what do you do with them?
Well according to al Qaeda's newest cheerleader, Attorney General Eric Holder, we should import them into the U.S. and privilege them with our Constitutional Rights inside a criminal court. No this is not an episode of Punk'd so need to look around for Ashton Kutcher. This is the real deal. Holder wants to extend to KSM the same Constitutional Rights as the Americans he targeted. Our Founding Fathers must be rolling over in their graves. 

What Holder does not know is that these so called humans are actually sub-human and have no rights at all. Legally, we can do anything we want since the detainees don't come close to meeting the definition of a POW under the Geneva Conventions. We could even use them as target practice if we wanted to. But, we're the United States, and we would never dare to do that sort of thing. We treat enemies that want to destroy our culture humanely and with respect. Besides, we would not want to offend the appeasement crowd or the Hamas front CAIR.
Holder stated last week to not "fear 9/11 Trials" ... Well it's not the trials we fear. Its the acquittal... Holder goes on to say "if acquitted, the terrorist will not be released in the United States". Oh really? Where then? Somewhere as the headlining act in the "Return to Jihad Tour"? Get ready for the "if the Turban doesn't fit, you must acquit" line from the George Soros funded defense team. Also, the Politically Correct crowd will get on the band wagon to make sure KSM will have a jury of his peers. This trial will be delayed and take forever based on the number of times the jury of his peers gets up to pray. And do you think for one moment that a Muslim juror will vote to convict a soldier of Allah? I doubt it. A majority of the evidence used will get thrown out anyway since KSM didn't have legal council at the time of his capture. Can you say "Hung Jury" or "Settlement"?
Rudy Giuliani had this to say, "The government is going to try to put Khalid Sheik Mohammed on trial. Defense lawyers will try and put the government on trial." I can almost hear it now, "will the CIA defendant please rise?" ... I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens. But don't expect the trials to happen anytime soon. It will be well after the 2010 mid-term elections. Wouldn't want to politicize our national security during an election year.
Seems the best thing that ever happened to these worthless Islamic terrorist filth is that they were captured by us.
